Joe Wayne Danner, 96, of Rogersville, MO, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023 in Cox Medical Center South.
Joe was born April 15, 1927 in Kennett, Mo to John and Myrtle Danner.
Joe was one of 7 children. While helping his parents on the farm he joined the United States Army and served two years during WWII. After the Army he married Vera Lee Webber in 1948. He worked on their farm in Southeast Missouri and was also a carpenter for many years.
In 1991 Joe and Vera moved to Rogersville, MO to be closer to their children. Joe is a Christian and a member of Sunset Church of Christ
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. He is survived by his wife of 75 years Vera, 2 daughters Paula Christian and her husband Barney of Springfield and Jo Shrable and her husband Jeff of Ava. He is survived by 2 grandchildren Kerre Clark and her husband Tanner of Ava and Wil Shrable and his wife Sarah of Rogersville, 7 great grandchildren Flint, Mattie, Tenley, Nora, Dalley, Jack, Adeline and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services for Joe will be at 11:00 am Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with interment following in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 am Saturday prior to the service.
