My deepest sympathies to all surviving family. I have several fond memories of my Uncle John. The most touching of these was when the flag was presented to John at my parents memorial in 2019. John’s life story is what being a great American is all about. I regret that my siblings and unable to attend his memorial as he was a positive influence in our lives.

I didn’t really know John, but I wanted to let loved ones know that he had SUCH an impact on my kids! I remember so well John and Bonnie running Skateworld as a wholesome venue for kids’ skating and birthday parties. This was an affordable activity that allowed many, many children in the community to gather and burn off energy safely. John was a constant guardian of the business and worked hard to keep order in the chaos of a skating rink. I appreciate him and Bonnie for the sacrifices they made to operate a small business in Branson in a time when a trip to Walmart was a social occasion. They were truly a blessing to the community!
