John J. Merrill age 60 , of Springfield passed away Sunday, December 11th, 2016 in his home.
John was born May 1, 1956 in Grand Forks, ND to Johnny Kuntz and Geneva Sanden. John was united in marriage to Lisa Gayle Moore on August 13, 1982 in Springfield, MO. He worked at Harter House as a department manager for many years. He enjoyed traveling with family and cheering on his children in their sporting activities and academics. The greatest love of John's life was his family, he was always there for his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife Lisa Merrill, of the home; two children, Joshua Merrill and wife Heather, Springfield and Amanda Merrill and Jeff Kramer, Springfield; six grandchildren, Hannah, Kayla, Emily, Sophia, Khloe, and Olivia; two brothers, Timothy Merrill, Milton, FL and Douglas Merrill, Milton, FL; and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father John Kuntz; mother, Geneva Amiot and husband Harry; and one brother, David Merrill.
The family will receive friends , Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 1 to 2 pm in Crossway Baptist Church . Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 15th, 2016 at 2:00 pm in Crossway Baptist Chapel , with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Springfield Springfield , Missouri .
Memorial contributions can be made to Crossway Baptist Church Building Fund. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
