John Robert Becker, age 89, of Springfield passed away Sunday, November 18th, 2018 in his home surrounded by family .
John was born November 14, 1929 in Springfield, MO to Orville Everett (O.E.) and Carrie Becker. John served in the United States Navy during World War II. He retired from the United States Post Office. John loved going to the beach and spending time with his daughter and grandchildren. He enjoyed watching football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs.
John was preceded in death by his parenst Orville and Carrie Becker; one brother, Arlie Becker; and three sisters, Ruth Picotte, Vera Collison, and Mollie Camp.
.Survivors include his daughter, Angie Muggenburg, Ozark; two granddaughters, Bailey Muggenburg and Allie Muggenburg; one grandson, Keaton Muggenburg; and a host of family and friends. John's favorite saying, describes his life ” It was the best he ever had.”
Military Rites for John will be rendered at 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
