John Stephen Smith, 54, Pleasant Hope, MO. passed away Saturday, April 1. 2023. John was born on July 18, 1968, in Lynwood, California, to Harold and Gayle (Bridges) Smith. He was a Machinist and attended Mt. Comfort Bible Church.
John loved the outdoors and was an avid Bow Hunter. He had a vast knowledge of bow hunting and the equipment that he used for the hunt. John was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son, Nick Vaughan and his wife, Sammy, grandchildren: Evelyn, Ellie, and Lara. He is also survived by his two brothers: Mark and Kathy Vestal and Eric and Kim Vestal and his nephews: David , Daniel, and Jason.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2023, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial to followin Summitt cemetery, near Mt. Vernon, MO. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. before services on Friday.
