John “Jack” William Hulse was born 1926 in Des Moines, Iowa and died in Springfield, Missouri in June 2020. For 73 years he was the loving husband of La Dene Hulse. Additional surviving family members include his daughter, Susan Hall of Springfield; Grandson Jeff Hall and wife, Ruth with great grandson Yorick and great granddaughter Gracyn of Nashville, Tennessee; Grandson Jeremy Hall and wife, Tracey with great granddaughters Averie and Lily of Erie, Pennsylvania.
At age 17, John joined the Navy and served in World War II and later in the Korean War. He was a proud Veteran and loved serving his country.
John worked in accounting for NCI for several years before entering the workforce at Lady Baltimore Foods in Kansas City, Missouri. He watched the company grow and was VP for Administration until he retired…..the first time. He moved to Springfield in 1990 and worked Lady Baltimore in the Sales Department for a change of pace until he retired for the second time. There would be two more retirements, the last when he was in his mid-eighties. His kindness, love of family and sense of humor will be sorely missed.
