John Wesley McCroskey, 85, was born January 25, 1931 In Willard to Glenn and Evelyn Brown McCroskey. He attended Willard Schools. He lived in Greene County most of his life.
Johnny was a truck driver and owner of Golden Bear Farms Trucking Co. He owned the Stockyards Cafe for 30 years and established the Olde Towne Flea Market on Booneville in Springfield. Johnny was an avid collector of antiques, especially Roseville pottery, and traveled to shows for a number of years.
Johnny was preceded by wife, Bonnie. He is survived by 4 children Rick, Glenda, Jennifer, and Tom of Fort Worth, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also by step-children Terry Walker (Jeanne) of Republic and Sherry Eggeman (Mike) of Springfield, three step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. Also surviving is former wife, Anna, of Willard, step son David (Natalya) Mann, Willard and step granddaughter, Alex (Mike) Erwin, Lawrence, KS.
Services will be on Thursday, Dec 1 with visitation at 2:00 followed by funeral service at 3:00 at Greenlawn North Funeral Home.
