What a special person Jonathan was. He had a big heart and loved all of his family very much. I am truly blessed to have known him and his precious family. Jon had such a great sense of humor and had a way of lighting up the room when he entered . The world will not be the same without you in it, you will be missed greatly. Praying for comfort for the family in this very difficult time.

I remember Jon was almost 8 years old when my family moved away from Springfield in May 1987. I have such fond memories of the happy times our families spent together. Jon will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to the Lightle family.

Jon, I love you man. I always looked to you as an example of exactly where I eventually wanted to be as a man. You were a great athlete, you served your country, had a great job and bought a sweet house, got married to a wonderful wife and had three adorable boys. You were always stoic like Uncle Ron, yet sweet like Aunt Debbie. Growing up, Uncle Ron would always go on and on about your Navy stories, I couldn't imagine a more proud father of his son. I remember big Brother Jon would jokingly torture his sisters Ashley and Jackie when you were working in law enforcement and had your handcuffs lol. More recently, much to my delight, I would see my twitter feed littered with chiefs updates year round, you and Ashley would go back and forth about the Chiefs, Royals and OKC Thunder. I am deeply saddened that you are gone, you were taken from us far too early. Please keep looking out for us all now that you are free of your chains.
