Joyce Lynn Sliger Summers was born October 19^th, 1938 in Burlington, Iowa to James W. and Clara H. (Curley) Sliger.  She passed away on October 25, 2024 at 86 years old in Springfield, Missouri.

She graduated Burlington High School in Burlington, Iowa and received a degree from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri.  She worked for many years as an accountant.

Joyce was saved on November 1^st, 1959 at Berean Baptist Church, Albuquerque, New Mexico.  She was currently a member at Cherry Street Baptist Church, Springfield, Missouri.

Joyce, along with her family, fostered teenage girls for a number of years.

Joyce really enjoyed card days with her friends from church.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Summers, her parents, and her brother James W. Sliger, Jr.

Joyce is survived by her four daughters, Carin and husband Lowell Yates of Springfield, Missouri, Becky and husband Jim Carter of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Robin Page of Springfield, Missouri, and Dianna and husband Ron Earhart of Springfield, Missouri, 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and several very close friends.

Visitation will be held at Greenlawn South Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, with a service to immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. with Jim Carter officiating.
