Juanita Kay Deal, age 75 of Halfway, MO, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022, in her home.  She was born July 21, 1947, in Wheatland, MO, to Charles Stanley and Fondera (Hammonds) Jones.  She was united in marriage to Jim Deal September 16, 1994.

          Kay enjoyed playing card games, family time, bowling, cooking and canning, and loved her little dog Wheeze, most of all she loved her family.

          She is preceded in death by her parents; two daughters: Debra Souther, and Elizabeth Deal; a son Sam Deal; a granddaughter Savannah Deal; and two brothers: Jim and Kenneth Jones.

          Kay is survived by her husband of 27 years Jim; four stepchildren: Jamie, Dawn, Lois, and Joseph; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; two sisters: Linda Collett and husband Melvin, and Cinda Garrison and husband Milford; as well as many other relatives and friends.

           Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Pitts Chapel.  Funeral services will take place Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 10:00 am in the funeral home.  Burial will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at the Austin Cemetery: 34105 S.
