Judon Sherrod, age 85, of Springfield, MO, passed away Monday, April 28, 2014 at the Mount Vernon Missouri Veterans’ Home. He was born November 6, 1928, in White County, AR, to Lester and Ada (Orman) Sherrod. He was a member of the Northside Christian Church. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Judon Retired from Meek Lumber Company after 33 years. He enjoyed fishing and Quail hunting

He was preceded in death by his wife Eva Marie Sherrod and his parents, Lester Jinx Ada Belle Sherrod.
He is survived by his two loving daughters,Cindy Latch and husband Randall, Springfield, MO and Stacy Sherrod, Springfield, MO; two grandchildren, Stephanie McMain and Micah Latch; four great-grandchildren; Kailey, Kyden, and Koen McMain, and Audrina Latch; two brothers, Jim Sherrod and Gary Sherrod; and a host of family and friends.
A celebration of Judon’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO. Burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Vernon Veterans’ Home. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO.
