Judy Kay Chapman (Childs), age 73, of Springfield passed away June 23, 2022 at Mercy hospital.  Judy was born October 20, 1948 in Tilden Nebraska to Dewey and Joyce (Greene) Childs. In 1965 they moved to Springfield, Missouri.  Judy married the love of her life Rick (Richard) Chapman 52 years ago on April 18, 1970. They had one son Randy (Randall) Chapman.

Judy is survived by her husband, Rick, her mother, Joyce, her son Randy and his wife Crystal. Two grandchildren Caitlyn and Calvin Chapman. Brother and Sister-in-law Willie and Mary Maples all of Springfield.  Judy is preceded in death by her father, Dewey. Father and mother-in-law, Earl and Blanche (Terry) Chapman. Brother-in-law Mike Chapman and sister-in-law Shirley Pilkinton.

Judy and Rick were members of the Nostalgia Rods Classic Car Club and  owners of Benchmark Realty. Judy was a current member of a Precious Moments club, and valued member of Antioch United Methodist Church. Judy also enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time at the lake.

Funeral arrangements will be held by Greenlawn North. Visitation will be held June 28 6:00-8:00 p.m. Burial will be held June 29 at 10:00 a.m. Kevin Cawley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Judy’s name to the American Cancer Society.
