Junior Ray Butler, 78, passed away at home Friday, May 11, 2012.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Grace Evelyn of Bolivar, MO; sister Pearl Crumm of Bolivar MO; sons, Rick and Sandra Butler of Morrisville, MO and David and Colleen Butler of Blue Springs, MO; grandchildren, Lori and Richard Dunn of Strafford MO, Heather and David Singell of Vero Beach, Florida, Brian and Codie Butler of Blue Springs, MO and Dustin Butler of Morrisville, MO; great grandchildren, Constance, Ivy, Paige of Vero Beach, FL and Addison of Blue Springs, MO. He was preceded in death by his son Danny Ray Butler, his father, Lloyd Butler and his mother Mildred Butler.
Ray was born November 25, 1933 in Rogersville MO. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956, stationed in Alaska. He worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation for 37 years as a field mechanic for the Bolivar area. Ray and Evelyn lived in the Bolivar area since 1972. Ray enjoyed woodworking, traveling, camping, model railroading, and spending time with his family. He will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial to follow in Eastlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, May 14, 2012 from 6-8 p.m., in the funeral home.
