
Kathy Workman, born on August 12, 1948, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, MO, to Ralph and Betty Crosswhite, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of November 2, 2024.
Kathy married Bill Workman on August 16, 1975, and they enjoyed 49 wonderful years together. She is the proud mother of two daughters: Jill (Workman) Sisney and her husband, Jason, of Ozark, MO, and Keli (Workman) Riley of Springfield, MO; and, a brother, Ron Crosswhite, and his wife, Sharon, of Republic, MO.
Affectionately known as “Mimi,” Kathy was a loving grandmother to her six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren include Andrew Riley and his wife, Tasha, of St. Augustine, FL; Courtney North and her husband, Joshua, of Fair Grove, MO; Mackenzie Riley of Kansas City, MO; Megan Fischer of Springfield, MO; Caleb Raby of Springfield, MO; and Delaney Riley of St. Augustine, FL.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Bill; her daughters, Jill and Keli; and her brother, Ron. In addition, she is survived by all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Betty Crosswhite.
A faithful member of the First Church of God (now Restoration Church) in Springfield, MO, Kathy enjoyed fellowship with many dear lifelong friends. She cherished reading and singing to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and telling them stories. Above all else, she treasured spending time with her family. Her passions included trips to the beach, NASCAR racing, showcasing her 1967 Corvette, her favorite color, purple, and her love for Coca-Cola.
Kathy was a fiercely devoted and loving daughter, wife, and mother. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
