Born to Fred and Ora Mae (Smith) Johnson-Beasley on February 17, 1954, in Springfield, MO, Kenny touched the lives of many with his resilient spirit. Kenny was a man who embraced life’s simple pleasures. He found joy in knocking down pins at the local bowling alley, where he participated in various leagues. The rhythmic melodies of olde style country music, particularly Conway Twitty, resonated with his soul, filling his days with heartfelt tunes. Additionally, his unwavering support for the St. Louis Cardinal Baseball team showcased his dedication to his beloved sport. Kenny also found peace in nature, often spending time camping and fishing to pass the time.
With a strong work ethic, Kenny dedicated many years of his life to the lumber industry as a Saw Operator at Vermillion Lumber. He worked diligently, showcasing his unwavering commitment and skills in his craft. His dedication to his profession earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
Kenny’s memory will forever be cherished by his loving family. He leaves behind his daughters, Sherry Lee, Karen Whisnant and her husband Jeff, Lora Johnson, and Angel Beasley-Martin and her husband, Cory, who were the lights of his life. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces, other family members and friends.
To honor the life and memories of Kenneth Wayne Beasley, a funeral service will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home, North on January 12, 2024, at 3:00 pm. Prior to the service, a public viewing will take place at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, where friends and acquaintances can pay their respects starting at 2:00 pm. Finally, a graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
