Kristy Lynn Sawyer, age 43, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Her sharp wit and even sharper tongue were legendary to family and friends. She had the ability to “tell it like it is” and was not bashful about it one bit. Kristy battled with multiple sclerosis the last few years with spirit and grit. While we will miss her dearly, let’s
honor her memory by holding on to that same tenacity to get us through tough times.
Kristy is survived by her children: Keaton Sawyer, Kourtney Goddard (Thomas), Kallie Burlison (Brendon), and Kaleb Sawyer; grandchildren: Keegan, Junior, Maverick, Kaizen, and Hannah; parents, Mike and Kathy Tuter; siblings, Kim Hawk, Kyle Tuter, Kelsey Clark (Daniel); and her many special nieces, nephews, and friends. Kristy was preceded in death by her papa, Bert Kitterman; grandma, Edna Bebout; and granddaughter, MacKenzie Goddard.
Please join us in celebrating Kristy’s life at her visitation on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 pm, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 10:00 am, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
