LaDonna Gail Blair, age 76, of Springfield, passed away on September 14, 2025, at home. LaDonna was born to Allen Stockstill and Mollie McCurdy on March 8, 1949, in Springfield, Missouri. She was raised in Springfield and graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1967. LaDonna was united in marriage to Patrick Blair November 2, 1969, in Springfield, Missouri. LaDonna shared 56 years of marriage to Patrick before her untimely passing on September 14, 2025.
LaDonna was employed as a Registered Nurse and worked at many facilities around the United States as a result of Patrick’s military service. Some of her favorite assignments were in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Seaside, Oregon and Traverse City, Michigan. When not working, LaDonna had many interests and pastimes including gardening, traveling, antiquing, cooking and hiking. Nothing, however, brought her more fulfillment than spending time with her family. LaDonna will be remembered as always hugging, cheerful, encouraging, thoughtful, generous and never, never without a smile. She was often described by her assortment of female friends as a fellow sister. LaDonna showed genuine compassion to those around her. She always looked on the sunny side of life even when there were dark clouds. She offered hospitality to anyone arriving on her doorstep. She loved purses, pretty clothes, bright flowers and shiny things. She had a particular fondness for rainbows!
LaDonna was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Mollie Stockstill, brother, Tim Stockstill, and sister, Sandra Johnson. She is survived by her husband, Patrick Blair and her sister, Teresa Herrin.
A visitation for LaDonna will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 5pm-7pm at Greenlawn North. A funeral service for LaDonna will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 10am at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial to follow at Mt Comfort Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in LaDonna’s memory to the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri.
Her services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
