Larry Arthur Hutchinson, age 85 of Branson, MO, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus his Savior, on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, integrity, and service. Born in Corydon, Iowa, on July 8, 1940, Larry dedicated his life to protecting others and doing what is right. As a proud State Trooper, he served the people of Nebraska for 6 years and Iowa for 29 years.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Luanne (Sorenson) and their six children: Kathy (Rod) Roeber, David (Paula) Hutchinson Sr., Chris (Robin) Hutchinson, Kim (Mike) Blansit, Daniel (Conny) Hutchinson, and Kay (Mark) Fenison. He enjoyed his 17 grandchildren: Michael Roeber and Jonathan Roeber; Sarah Hutchinson, Abby Middleton, David Hutchinson Jr., and Lily Hutchinson; TJ King and Trey Hutchinson; Ashley (Josh) Riley and Brooke Blansit; Andrew (Olivia) Hutchinson, Anna Hutchinson, and Miriam Hutchinson; Caleb (Joelle) Mathwig, Lydia (Chaz) Moore, Josiah (Tessa) Mathwig, and Chole (Kamron) Rogers. And his 6 great-grandchildren: Riley, Connor, Elizabeth, McKinley, Irene, and Soren. He also leaves behind a brother Ron Hutchinson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Orland and Wilma (Duckworth) Hutchinson and son-in-law Jake Mathwig. Larry fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith.
Visitation will be held at Friendly Baptist Church of Branson at 10am on Monday, February 16, with the funeral following at 11am. A committal service will be held at Ozarks Memorial Park
