Larry Laverne Chandler, age 75, passed away on December 28, 2025. He was born on August 19, 1950, to Kenneth Chandler and Willa Dean Chandler Craft.
Larry had a lifelong passion for drag racing and classic cars. He took great pride in the sound of a well-tuned engine and the memories made around the track and the garage. Those who knew him best will remember his love for all things automotive and the joy it brought him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Chandler and Willa Dean Chandler Craft; his beloved wife, Nancy Chandler; and his sister, Brenda Metz.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Mary Dean Chandler Ayers, and her husband, Elliot, along with their children: Kelsey, Keeli, Kennedi, Karson, and Karah. He is also survived by his son, Curtis Chandler; his brother, Gary Chandler, and his wife, Sandy; and his sister, Cheryl Smith, and her son, Kenneth Paul Smith. He also leaves behind a host of cousins, nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
Larry’s legacy lives on through his family and the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
