I went to high school with Lori. I remember when Lori and Larry met. They were perfect for each other! Larry was the nicest guy and, as others have mentioned, a gentle giant. I regret that I lost touch with them over the years. Lori, I am so sorry for your loss.

It was an honor to have got to work with Larry for nearly 3 years at SOFIE. I have several great memories with him there, I always enjoyed hearing stories from his life in the Air Force and Police Department. I so sad this happened but I’m so glad that I know he is home with Lord. Praying for Lori and his daughters.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Lori, our hearts are broken. We loved Larry and will miss him dearly. Picture attached was taken in our back yard 8 months ago at a meet and greet from church. Wonderful memories! Andy sure enjoyed their talks and teasing. You both have been great examples for us during our Christian journey and we thank you for that. Always know we are here for you. ❤️

To the family of Larry Flett my condolences. He was a great man and Sunday school teacher. Larry words can’t describe what you mean to me. You are a big reason I’m going to pursue being a law enforcement officer. Thank you for your love and support when me and my family were in Missouri. Praying for you guys.
Jeff Niemeyer left a message on March 27, 2025:
I only met Larry once; when I was in Springfield to conduct an audit with Lori for the Missouri Real Estate Commission. This was way back when Lori first started working for us back in 2008/2009. We went to dinner at Lambert's Cafe one night after the audit. As others have described him, Larry struck me as a "gentle giant" and a man that was totally devoted to his wife and daughters. He was also kind enough to loan me some cash because I had forgotten that Lambert's only accepted cash at that time and I had not brought any. I'm not sure how the subject came up but somehow Larry let slip that he fell asleep every night with The Andy Griffith Show playing on the TV. I thought that was a little odd at first but somehow, despite having just met him and talking to him for only a few minutes, I came to the conclusion that it wasn't odd at all. That little quirk fit him like a glove :) I'm sorry I didn't get any other chances to talk to Larry again over the years. To Lori and the rest of his family, I'm sorry for your loss. May Larry rest in peace.

A Dear Great Friend of mine passed away in a accident Monday March 24,2025 in Springfield Mo.. When we were growing up and teenagers we went to a skating party with Victory Baptist Church. My dad gave a devotion about salvation at the skating rink. Right after that my friend went to my dad and he accepted Jesus Christ as His Savior that night. I recently several months ago I asked him on facebook do you remember that Larry? He stated yes that's true and yes I did Sherri. Larry Flett is now in Glory with the Almighty King Jesus Christ. If you don't know Jesus Christ please don't wait except Jesus Christ Now before it's too late. Lori Jewel , girls, grandchildren and family I am so sorry for your loss. Larry was a great friend. He always watched out for me when I was young. He was and is a Great Man. This has really been hard and I am truly 💔 heartbroken. However I know I will see him someday in Glory again!!
