Latoya Simone Collins, age 42, of Springfield, Missouri,
passed away on July 27th, 2023, at home. Latoya was
born to Lloyd and Debbie Farley on January 18, 1981 in
Tulsa, OK where she graduated from Union High School in
1999. She attended Missouri State University, where she
played Field Hockey. Latoya was united in marriage to
Larry Collins on October 11th, 2012 on a beautiful Cape
Cod day overlooking the ocean in Harwich Port,
Massachusetts. The couple were blessed with one son,
Miles.
Latoya was a Personal Trainer and while owning several
gyms, (most prominently Fit One) she also helped and
worked alongside a wonderful group of friends with
several Yoga Studios throughout the years. Over the
course of her career she loved helping others with her
knowledge of fitness and wellness. Latoya will be
remembered as a beautiful soul who touched the lives of
all she encountered with her dedication and passion to
teaching all that she had learned. She was often
described by those who knew her as someone who
would never give up or quit. Latoya influenced all of
those she knew with her kindness, patience and
understanding. Above all of her accomplishments,
including being crowned Miss Teen Oklahoma in 1996,
the thing she enjoyed most was dedicating her life to
being the mother of her son Miles.
Latoya is survived by her husband Larry Collins; father
Lloyd Farley; mother Debbie Farley; and son Miles Collins.
A celebration of Latoya’s life will be from 4-7 pm,
Sunday, October 29, 2023 at The Stewart Farms CO-OP,
12077 Highway H, Pleasant Hope, MO 65725
