Lendol Hicks, age 83 of Springfield, MO passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024.
Lendol was born to Willma Lee and Shirley Hicks on March 18, 1941 in Phillipsburg, MO. He went to Parkview High School and graduated in 1959.
Lendol was saved and baptized in Stockton, CA at the age of 12.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, canoeing, and riding his motorcycle, but most of all he spent 18 years being Kelly’s pit man at the race tracks.
Lendol worked many years at American Linen Supply followed by working at City Utilities and retiring from there.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Janette Washington and his son Tim Hicks.
Family survivors are his wife Georgann; son Kelly Hicks (Deanna); sister Janice Barton; grandson Barry (Nicole); granddaughters Anna Hicks, Ashlynn (Chris), Kursty (Dakota), and great-grandsons Bryce, Beau, Caden, Carson, and other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home South on Sunday, September 15, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home South with the burial to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
