Lila Lorraine Sabor, 95, of Ozark, Missouri passed from this life February 28, 2024.
Lorraine was born in Memphis, Tennessee January 15, 1929 to Bruce and Lila (Smith) Ely.
She graduated from the University of Tennessee where she majored in Home Economics.
Lorraine worked several years for International Harvester where she traveled the country teaching people how to use a new product at the time, the freezer. She taught people how to properly freeze food. She later worked for Proctor and Gamble traveling Missouri, Kansas, Colorado and anywhere the company sold freezers, traveling in her unairconditioned Ford. Later she had her on cooking show in Evansville, Indiana where she was known as Jane Morrow. She then went on to own an interior design business.
She met Jürgen Sabor at Lambert Airport in St. Louis where he worked as a ticket agent for TWA airlines. She would always get in his line where they eventually met for coffee and have been together ever since. They have traveled the world together. They went to Jürgen’s home country Germany, Austria, Italy and many others.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents, their daughter Leslie in 1997 of Non Hoskins-Lymphoma, and two brothers Bruce Ely, Jr. and Carroll Ely.
She is survived by her loving Husband Jürgen, their son Barry and his wife Julie; three grandchildren Brody Drew Sabor, Holden Karl Sabor and Karlynn Jean Sabor; two step-grandchildren Britney Ann Oliver and Dawson Brian Oliver; one great grandchild, Auden Sabor North.
Services for Lorraine will be at 11:30 am Friday, March 8, 2024 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Interment will follow at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 am prior to the service.
