Lisa Gayle Merrill, 59, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at her home. Lisa was born on April 28, 1963, in Merrill, Wisconsin, the fourth of ten children belonging to William and Peggy Lister. Lisa was a 1981 graduate of Kickapoo High School.

Lisa was a lifelong fixture of the Greene County Library staff. She began working for the library in 1978 at the age of 14 and retired in April 2021. Lisa had a giving nature, she would give to anyone that was in need. She always wanted to make sure everyone was fed, clothed, and taken care of. She put everyone’s needs above her own her entire life. Lisa also loved to shop and to travel; she mostly loved to shop for her grandkids and to take them to the beach. Lisa’s greatest joy in life was her family and being a grandma, and she was great at it.
Lisa is preceded in death by her husband, John Merrill; her mother, Peggy Lister; and brothers Richard Moore, Randall Moore, and William Joseph Lister.

Lisa is survived by her children, Joshua Merrill (Heather) and Amanda Kramer; granddaughters: Hannah, Kayla, Emily, Sophia, Khloe, and Olivia; her father, William Lister; siblings: Tammy Lenski (Don), Karen Walker, Leonard Moore, William Moore (Amy), Mary Ramos, and Robert Lister (Kelly); and many other relatives and friends.

A visitation for Lisa will be held on Friday, December 23, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield, Missouri. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. following the visitation. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
