Elder Lloyd Eugene Steinshouer departed this life on June 2, 2021. Son of W.E. (Gene) Steinshouer and Mary Alene Busby Steinshouer, he was born June 18, 1941. Lloyd was saved in October 1951 at the age of 10 at Rural Hill (Sunset) Missionary Baptist Church. He surrendered to the call to preach and was ordained to full work of the ministry February 21, 1971, at Rural Hill (Sunset) Missionary Baptist Church. Lloyd spent 50 years in his Lord’s service, pastoring churches in Missouri, Kansas and Oregon. He was a member of Township Line Missionary Baptist Church, Poplar Bluff, MO.

Lloyd was married to Deva Day Highfill November 22, 1963. To this union was born two children, Rachael Irvine and Daniel Eugene Steinshouer. Deva preceded him in death January 26, 2003. He was also preceded in death by his second wife, Donna Lumpkin, May 3, 2019. Also preceding him in death were his parents and three sisters, Connie Sue in infancy, Rebecca Lynn Hill and Virginia May Wilson. Survivors include his children and spouses, Rachael Irvine and husband Larry Irvine, and Daniel Steinshouer and his wife Angela, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are six sisters: Donna Lee Bingham, Wanda Lou Jones and husband, Tom, Sarah Gailey and husband, Carl, Lila Steinshouer, Lela Hill, and Betty Jean Steinshouer. Also surviving is one brother, Bobby David Steinshouer and his wife, Linda, plus several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2021, at Pitts Chapel of Greenlawn Funeral Homes, Bolivar, MO. burial will follow in Slagle cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, June 5, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
