Lola Joyce Hill, age 92, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on September 15, 2025, at CoxHealth Medical Center South. Lola was born to Luther Geller and Edna Geller on April 14, 1933 in Glencoe, OK. She was raised in Glencoe. Lola was united in marriage to William Lorenzo Stanfield on May 20, 1951 in Las Vegas. Lola and Williams shared 41 years of marriage before Williams’s untimely passing on October 12, 1992. The couple were blessed with 3 children, George, Robert, and Joyce. Lola later married James Hill of Zion, Illinois on April 17, 1993 and shared 17 years of marriage until his death in 2010.

Lola served as a pastor’s wife, housewife, and worked at various jobs through the years. When not working, she had many interests and pastimes including sewing, cooking, and volunteering at church, and making sure people knew about Jesus. Nothing, however, brought her more fulfillment than talking to people about Jesus. Lola will be remembered as a giving person. She was often described by others as friendly, warm and loyal. Lola leaves behind a legacy of faith in Christ and love for family.

Lola was preceded in death by her parents: Luther and Edna, husbands: William and James, sister: Elnora, brother: William, son: George, and grandson: Billy. She is survived by her son Robert (Yvonne) Stanfield, her daughter Joyce (Don) Bailey; daughter-in-law Carol (George) Stanfield; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Lola will be held on from10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Monday, 22nd of September 2025 at Greenlawn Funeral Home South in Springfield, Missouri. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Funeral Home South with a burial to follow at Springfield National Cemetery located in Springfield, Missouri.
