Lori Roessler, age 60, Republic passed away Saturday, December 4th, 2021, surrounded by friends and family.
Lori was born July 10, 1961, in Chattanooga, TN, to Leonard and Mary Ellen Douglass. Lori was a graduate of Lafayette High School and Southwest Missouri State University. She worked as an Academic Advisor at Missouri State University for many years. She loved helping students find their passions and succeed in their college careers. Lori grew up going on family vacations where she found a love for traveling and having fun with family and friends. She mostly enjoyed going to the beach. She was also an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, never missing a game.
Survivors include her loving son Ryan Roessler, who was her pride and joy; mother, Mary Ellen Douglass; sister, Lisa Schrock, brother-in-law, Tim Schrock, and nephew, Zakary Schrock; brother, Jeff Douglass, sister-in-law, Paula Douglass, nephew, David Douglass, and wife, Frannie Douglass, nephew, Paul Douglass and wife, Stephanie Douglass, niece, Loren Douglass Rahman and husband, Wakeel Rahman, niece Ellen Douglass; aunt, Janice Newlon and cousin, Matt Newlon; cousin, David Wilson; and a host of family and friends.
Lori was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Douglass; grandparents, Loraine Heehs (Mamaw); William and Mary Garrett; aunt and uncle, Bobby and Sue Wilson and cousin, Judy Wilson.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 5:00 pm, Thursday. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 9th, 2021, at 5:00pm in Greenlawn South Funeral Home, Springfield, MO. Burial will be at Bethel cemetery, Wildwood, MO, Saturday, December 11, 2021
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to her son, Ryan Roessler. This can be done through Greenlawn Funeral Home.
