Louis Valjean Davis, Jr., 68, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on September 22, 2023. He was born on October 24, 1954, in Joplin, Missouri, to the late Louis V. Davis Sr. and Josephine Davis.
Louis was a retired Teamster from Roadway Freight and also retired from Marmic Fire and Safety. He dedicated many years of his life to his career, demonstrating hard work and dedication.
In his free time, Lou enjoyed spending time with his family, playing poker with friends, and making people laugh. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, including his wife Linda Davis, his son Preston Davis, his sister Vicki Atkinson, and his sister-in-law Remona Marciano. Lou also had a special bond with his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a great great niece and nephew. Lou also had countless friends that loved him and enjoying spending time with. He loved everyone all very much.
A Celebration of Life for Lou will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East in Springfield, Missouri.
Lou will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May his soul rest in peace.
