Loyd Richardson, age 96, of Springfield, MO, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014 at The Manor At Elfindale. He was born March 30, 1918, in Hardy, AR, to Solomon and Zelma (Sellers) Richardson. He was a member of the Westside United Methodist Church in Wichita, KS. He served in the United States Navy during W.W.II on the USS Langley Aircraft Carrier. Loyd worked for the Beechcraft Corporation, retiring after 41 years. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and the Loyal Order of Moose. After moving to Springfield, MO in 1982, Loyd and his wife, Edith owned and operated Crystal Cave for 30 years
Loyd was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Edith, in 2011, his parents, eight brothers and two sisters. He is survived by a son Ken Richardson, and his wife Shirley, a daughter Barbara Blowers and her husband George, and a grandson Sean Blowers, all of Springfield, MO, a sisiter Nell Carmichael, of Wichita, KS and many nieces and nephews.
