Marcella Ruth Hoaglin 83, Springfield, MO. passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Glendale Gardens Nursing Facility. Marcella was born on November 8, 1939. in Ridgedale, MO. to Ira and Nellie Carnelison. Marcella was raised in Hollister, MO. and attended Hollister, High School. Marcella was united in marriage to Ray Warren Hoaglin on October 26, 1964 in Miami, Oklahoma. Marcella and Ray were married 44 years before Ray’s untimely passing on March 15, 2009. Marcella and Ray were blessed with two boys, Russell Ray Hoaglin and Randall Gene Hoaglin, both of Springfield, MO.
Early in her life, Marcella was employed at Town & Country Cafe, in Branson, MO. for several years. Later, after her children Russell and Randy were born, she was a homemaker/caregiver. When not working, she enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and watching baseball, but nothing gave her more joy than grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Nellie Carnelison her brothers: Leon, James and Charley Carnelison, and her husband, Ray Hoaglin. She is survived by her sons: Russell Hoaglin and his wife, Carolyn and Randall Hoaglin and his wife Anna one brother: Johnie Carnelison and his wife, Martha, grandchildren: Valerie Joyner, Courtney Murphy, Michael Hoaglin, and wife, Sarah, Mackenzie Hoaglin and wife, Millie, Mikaela and Mason Hoaglin and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will follow, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
