Marie “Genie” Gangemi, 76, of Branson, passed away on January 2, 2025, with her family by her side.
Born in Hollywood, California to Elizabeth Hazel Perkins and Michael Eugene Goldsmith, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and card shark. She lived the Golden Rule: loving your neighbor no matter what, which included respect and grace for those with differences.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Sam (they would have been married 50 years in 2025), and her son Tommy.
She is survived by her children Michael Summers of Indiana, Catherine (Greg) McRae and Samantha (Ryan) Freeman of Missouri, Gina Antoniadis of Nevada, and Daniel (Marylynn) Gangemi of Texas. She will also be missed dearly by all the people that called her mom too.
She especially loved all her grandchildren: Alexandra, Jordan, Jairen, Camden (A’Marie), Marina, Spencer, Caysen, Bella, Adam, and Sebastian.
No services are planned at this time.
Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home-Branson.
