Marietta Scott, 92, Rogersville, MO. passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023, in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born May 8, 1931, in Hardy, Arkansas to Otis and Sophie (Young) Sartin. She attended Bono High School, graduating in 1950. On July 14, 1954, she was united in marriage to Joe Scott, in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Marietta was homemaker and loved spending time with and caring for her family. She was a great cook, her fried chicken was amazing. In her younger years, she spent time at the Lake and enjoyed boating and water skiing with her husband and kids. She was always up for shopping, especially at her favorite store, Dillards. She had a sweet tooth, and her eyes would light up at the sight of chocolate.

Marietta was preceded in  death by her husband, Joe Scott, her parents, Otis and Sophie Sartin, her brother Sam Sartin, and her sister Betty Black. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Diane Douglas (Dale) , Mike Scott (Robin), and Gary Scott (Chandra), her seven grandchildren: Dana Douglas Morrow, Debra Douglas Wierick, Brandon Scott, Bryan Scott, Kristi Scott Auberry, Andrew Scott, and Luke Scott, and her ten great-grandchildren: Jake Morrow, Jenna Morrow, Logan Robertson, Liam Wierick, Whitlee Auberry, Taygen Scott, Tyler Scott, Travis Scott, Billie Scott, and Arlo Scott.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2023, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. No visitation is planned.
