Mary Louise (Bean) Cunningham was born 24 September 1927 in Greene County, Missouri to George W. Bean and Mabel E Jones Stafford Bean. She departed this world for a better one on 24 February 2023 at the age of 95. She spent her early years in Greene County before moving to Webster County, just west of Marshfield. She graduated from Marshfield High School.  On 20 May 1947 she married Floyd L (Snooks) Cunningham, and they made their home in Springfield.  Mary was an avid genealogist and was involved in several genealogy societies in the area.   While researching the burial location of one ancestor she realized that many of the cemeteries were disappearing. This concerned her and she decided to copy every cemetery be it 1 grave or many in Webster County.  This work resulted into a work of 4 books that she was very proud of.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother George W. Bean, Jr, Two half-sisters and One half-brother, Henrietta Warren, Virginia Brown, Marion Bean.  One grandson Gary L Cunningham Jr.

She is survived by one son Gary L Cunningham and one daughter Debra L Tarter and husband Chris. Five grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, Brad (Karol) Cunningham and son Noah: Michael Cunningham and son Grayson: Danielle (Rusty) Smith and sons Bentlee and Conor and daughter Kendal: Andrew (Julia) Tarter and sons Rhett and Bronson; Alicia (James) Scroggins and daughter Sadie, along with many nieces and nephews and friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00 -8:00 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.  Graveside services will be 11:00 at Prospect Baptist Cemetery, Niangua, MO.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Webster County Historical Society, PO Box 13, Marshfield, MO 65706 or left at the funeral home in memory of Mary L Bean Cunningham.
