Mary Sue See moved to Heaven on April 28, 2023.
She is survived by her daughter, Carissa Maneth, and her son-in-law, Jeffrey Maneth. Her grandchildren are Caitlin Herbert (husband Eli Herbert), Kirkland Maneth (Wife Morgan Maneth), Ashleigh Maneth, Caleb Maneth (wife Ashley Maneth) and Levi Maneth. Great grandchildren are Addi, Ellie and Kennedy Maneth and Max Herbert.
Mary was a strong woman who, early on in life took on the responsibility of taking care of family for her younger brother and dad. She quit school early to do this, but continued to study hard until she was able to take and pass the GED. She was the first woman to work in the factory at MD Pneumatics and stayed on there for 28 years.
By herself, she raised her daughter Carissa. They enjoyed vacations each year traveling across the United States forming numerous amazing and fun memories together. She also enjoyed fishing and gardening immensely.
She met Bob See one day while fishing, and they married on Nov 29th, 1996. They also enjoyed countless times fishing, gardening and going on vacations together. They were married for 24 years until he passed in April of 2020.
They attended Guy Chapel and Harold Baptist Church in Walnut Grove. Mary continued attending and grew to know and love many new friends from both. She was a born-again Christian who loved the Lord, prayed daily, and gave thanks for the blessings both great and small that she had been given in life.
She was loved dearly and will truly be missed. All who knew her should look forward to seeing her one day again in heaven.
Her family has chosen to have a private memorial service for Mary, however, there will be a memorial paver placed in Springfield Botanical Gardens’ White Garden to honor her love of gardening. It will be available later this summer for anyone who would like to walk the tribute brick path to see it, and to celebrate the beautiful life that we were blessed to be a part of.
