Mary V. Haines, age 62, of Springfield, MO, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014 in her brother’s home after a long illness. She was born September 14, 1951, in Springfield, MO, to Vern and Rose (Elmore) Haines. She was a 1969 graduate of Central High School. She attended College of the Ozarks, where she graduated in 1974 with a degree Elementary Education. Mary loved to travel; she especially enjoyed going anywhere that had a beach. She enjoyed activities with her Sorority Sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vern and Rose Haines. She is survived by one brother,Vern Haines and wife Brenda of Springfield, MO; three nephews, Johnathan and wife Shelly, Jere and wife Alysia, and Ben; one niece, Ann; eight great nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
A celebration of Mary’s life will be from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014 in Greenlawn North Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
