Shelly Sachs went to be with the Lord on August 10, 2017. Shelly passed away at the age of 51, surrounded by family at home in Springfield, Missouri.
Shelly was born Meschell Ann Warren in Exeter, Missouri on August 2, 1966 to Cherry and Ann Warren. Shelly married Aaron Sachs on May 19, 1990. The couple welcomed two children into their home, Sarah and William (Will) Sachs. After graduating from Southwest Missouri State University with a BS in Communication, she began a career as a sales representative for Kraft until Will was born in 1997. She was active with her church, the Springfield Junior League and a member of Highland Springs Country Club.
Shelly was a vibrant individual who had a contagious smile and an infectious laugh. She loved her family and was passionate about people. Children always held a special place in her heart. You would often catch her at Will’s games or at TJ Maxx with Sarah. She never met a stranger and treated everyone as family. So, it was a natural fit that Shelly was a greeter at James River Church.
Like her father, Shelly had a love for gardening, antiquing, and rooting on the Cardinals. She never complained and was always in a cheerful mood. She was a deeply devoted wife, mother and friend whose bright spirit will always be remembered.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Aaron Sachs; daughter Sarah and son Will of Springfield, Missouri.
Also surviving are her parents, Cherry and Ann Warren of Cassville, Missouri; sister Sally Gilbert and husband Tony of Mountain Home, Arkansas; nieces Grace, Kate and Anna Gilbert, Rachel Christensen and Angela DePlato and sister-in-law Joyce Timmons.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, August 14, 2017 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, Springfield, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at James River Church, Ozark, Missouri. Burial will follow at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Missouri.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

After surviving breast cancer in 2007 and losing my rt brst. I pray for all to never give up the fight. I didn't ! I have no family here and am now a widow. So I will lift her up early each day in my prayers. Stay strong family! God is with you always !

Aaron and Family, I worked with Shelly on Wednesday Evening at James River Church. She was a wonderful person and I so enjoyed talking and sharing with her. I worked with Shelly at Kraft and our girls use to play together when they were 2 & 4 years old. Shelly was a bright light in this world and she is sorely missed. Please know how much she loved her family and remember her smile and laughter.

Aaron, Ann and Cherry: What a special opportunity has been mine to have have had your father, Mr. Sachs, as may high school English teacher at Versailles High School in 1961-62 and to come to Barry County and become well acquainted with Shelly's parents, Ann and Cherry Warren. Aaron, your father wrote me a letter at the time of the passing of your mother in 1969 and said, "Things that do not destroy us always make us stronger." May your memories and our Lord comfort you during this time.

How good to have the Sachs as neighbors. They are caring friends. Even though Shelly was fighting her own battle with cancer, she popped in late one evening and filled my arms with yellow roses and in her unforgettable rich alto voice, wished me well in my journey. Our hearts really hurt to say goodbye or to see those she loved so dearly suffer her loss, but I understand why our Lord says, "Blessed in the eyes of the Lord is the death of His Saints" when He welcomes home a beloved child, another one of His beautifully created images. What a joy for God when a child has accepted His gift of life through His forgiveness and has lived that life well in loving those He has given them. Aaron, words fail me as I try to convey our condolences. Be assured of our prayers for you and your family. While it is true she is enjoying the presence of the Lord, I know there is a great hole in your heart that only He can handle. My prayer is that He will do just that. God bless.

We didn't know Shelly very well, but heard so much about her through her Mom and Dad. We are part of the Tim Marney Sunday School Class at North Point Church in Cassville. I was very sad to hear she lost her battle. I know she fought hard. She still had a smile always and was always upbeat. She came into Tuesday Morning to shop all the time , sometimes with Sarah and sometimes with her Mom. We always chatted and she always made me smile and laugh. She was a truly special person. I know I will miss seeing her. Thoughts and prayers to her family during this time. Its a true loss of a wonderful woman.

I had the pleasure of meeting her once, she was so nice, devoted mother to her 2 kids, speaking so highly of them in our brief time together. I met Shelly several years ago while working for KY3. Went to her home to shoot a commercial for Aaron & she was so full of life & had such a love for her children. A true loss....so very sorry.

Shelly was a special person to me and our family. As I read how bubbly she was and the infectious laugh reminds me of our school days. If u were have a bad day running into Shelly would always make it so much better and brighter. Then when my son Bruce Jr came along they took him and treated him as their brother and adopted son. He was asked by Shelly to be their little ring bearer in their wedding. He was so proud to be part of that. I have been praying for Shelly from day 1 of her diagnosis for our mighty GOD to have his hand on her. I praise GOD for the Christian example she was to so many. Shelly was a sweet, sweet lady. She always had a kind word and would speak to me where ever she ran into me, not just at church. She will be missed.

Shelly's smile always lifted my heart when I entered the doors at church! I was truly blessed by her and will always remember her sweet spirit.
