Michael D. McCoy, 76, Springfield, MO, passed away on January 5, 2023, at Mercy Hospital. He was born in Pemiscot County, MO on August 7, 1946 to Clifton Eugene and Ruth Nora (London) McCoy. Michael and Sharon opened McCoy Iron & Metal in 1990 which is today run by three generations of McCoys, continuing the family legacy. Michael was an avid world traveler who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sightseeing, adventuring through Alaska, Africa, Australia, and beyond. He was always ready to go to Las Vegas or to an Eagles concert and enjoyed living life to its fullest with family and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers: Ronnie, Talmadge, Larry, Bobby, Charles, and Keith McCoy, and sister Ruth Ellen Beals. He is survived by his wife Sharon K. (Cumpton) McCoy, whom he married on June 11, 1966; sons: Michael (wife Connie), Greg, and daughter Kimberly McCoy; six grandchildren: Jennifer, Robert, Heather, Brandon, Tyler, and Kacey; ten great-grandchildren, his brother Frank McCoy (wife Alice), and numerous nieces, nephews and family members.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

The Rosary service will be Sunday, January 8, 2023, at 6:30pm, followed by the visitation until 8:30 pm, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
