Mildred Grace Gibson, 88, the seventh child of Elba and Stella Moore, has been freed of her earthly body to join her heavenly family. Her battle with Parkinson disease ended on May 7, 2017. Mildred was a member of Kansas Expressway Church of Christ. She retired from Lily Tulip after 35 years to care for her husband, Gene Gibson, who preceded her in death in 1992. Survivors include four children; Charlie Gene Gibson (Lisa), Margie Gibson (Larry), Gayle Johnston (John), David Gibson ( Geanie), 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters; Opal Hunt (Dean), and Mary Schmidt, sister-in-law, Betty Moore (Jack), many nieces and nephews, and many special friends. Thanks to Phoenix Home Care and Hospice. Also a special thanks to the youth group from Kansas Expressway Church of Christ. Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 10, 2017, 11:00am, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Fairhaven Children’s Home, 3132 N. Fair Haven Loop, Strafford, MO 65757.
