Marilyn Kay Belew, age 77, of Springfield, Missouri, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 4, 2021.
She was born January 30, 1944 to George and Elva (Pullen) Cooper, in Leon, Iowa. She met the love of her life, Johnny Junior Belew and the two united in marriage on December 11, 1970. Together, they created a blended family of 4 children. Marilyn enjoyed playing board games, gardening and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grand-mother and great grand-mother, always putting her loved ones needs before her own.
She was proceeded in death by her parents George and Elva Cooper, brother Harold Cooper, and step- son Johnny Belew.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 50 years, Johnny Junior Belew of Springfield, sons Kenny Nall and Danny Belew, Daughter Sherry Wilson (Rob), sister in-law Cheryl Ireton, 8 Grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She will be missed terribly, but we will always remember the love she showed to each of us, and we will cherish our most precious moments with her in our hearts forever.
The family will receive friends and family members from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 10th at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. 3540 Seminole Street, Springfield, Missouri. A brief graveside service will follow at 1:30 pm at Hazelwood Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri.
