Mylanda Diana Haney, 49 of Springfield, MO, went home to sing with the Angels on January 24, 2026. She was born on November 7, 1976, to Robert & Dica (Owens) Lutz. Born and raised in Springfield, Mylanda graduated from Willard High School Class of 1995. She attended and graduated from OTC with an associate’s degree in computer science, and went on to utilize her degree at American National as a Programmer Analyst.
Mylanda lived with her arms and heart wide open. Her home was a place of welcome and comfort — no one ever was turned away. She was always there for a friend in need.
She found joy in so many things: tending to her garden – her “happy place” – where she spent countless peaceful hours; crafting and scrapbooking to keep memories alive; running out to catch a beautiful sunset; cheering on her beloved Miami Dolphins; and baking sweet goodies for her family. She also canned the best sweet dill pickles you ever tasted. Mylanda loved sneaking away for long weekends with her daughter to the Florida beaches; and treasured time with family and friends sitting around a fire, talking, laughing, and making memories.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Dica Lutz
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Vance; her daughter, Lilliana Rae; brother, Michael Lutz; several nieces and nephews; and a large circle of family and friends who loved her deeply.
Mylanda lived life to the fullest, and simply put, “ She loved to love.”
