Nancy Jane Sears, age 61, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on December 20, 2023, at Mercy Hospital. Nancy was born to Edmond and Mary Adee on February 13, 1962, in Lee’s Summit, MO. She was raised in Lee’s Summit, MO and graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in 1980. Nancy was united in marriage to Douglas Sears on June 20, 1981, in Lee’s Summit. The couple were blessed with 3 children, Danny, Steven, and Kim.
Nancy enjoyed shopping, decorating, and spoiling her grandchildren and cats. Nothing, however, brought her more fulfillment than serving and supporting others. Nancy will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and was often described by others as a good listener and sounding board, a wise advisor, and a generous and gifted prayer warrior.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond and Mary Adee; stepmother, Marilon; and brothers, Billy and Edmond. She is survived by her loving husband, Douglas Sears; three children Danny Sears and wife Kelly, Steven Sears, and Kim Elliott and husband Bucky; eight grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
A visitation for Nancy will be held on Wednesday, 27th of December, 2023, from 2:00 – 3:00 PM, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
