It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Nathan Dannen of Clever, MO, on January 18th, 2025. He was a beloved father to Greyson Dannen and Kiley Cecil. Born on September 6th, 1988 in Houston, MO, Nathan lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to his friends and family.
Nathan served in the United States Army as a motor transport operator. He toured in Iraq and served his country bravely. He was honorably discharged in 2007.
He was known for his charisma, hard work, and passion for working with his hands. He loved learning new skills and lived for working on cars. Nathan was social, warm, and funny. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, touching the lives of many friends and neighbors with his kindness and generosity. When he loved, he loved with his whole heart and never failed to show it.
He is survived by his son Greyson, his daughter Kiley, his Mother Ruth Gunkle, his Stepfather Bill Gunkle, his brother Shawn Dannen, his sister Stephanie Bennett, and his sister Brittany Venable.
A funeral service will be held on January 30, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn South Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Children’s Miracle Network or Wounded Warriors Project, two charities that Nathan enthusiastically supported.
