Nathaniel (Nate) Eugene Trager, age 35 of Brighton, earned his wings and went to be with the Lord on September 6, 2012. He was born August 10, 1977 in Staunton, Illinois.
He graduated from Pleasant Hope High School in 1996 and went on to Vatterott College and received his degree in Business. In his spare time he loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed camping, fishing, floating and deer hunting. Every year he looked forward to his “guys” weekend of deer hunting with his dad, brothers and grandpa. He had a passion for gas engines and tractors, restoring and showing them at Republic Steam Show. Nate attended North Point Church. His prize possessions were his red Dodge pickup, his pug, Mercedes, and his new Cub tractor.
He was preceded in death by his little brother, Shawn Trager; grandfathers, Robert Trager and Raymond Bowyer; grandparents, John and Este Crowe; and cousin, Michael Daly.
Nate leaves behind his mother and stepfather, Monica and Bob Bernstein of Brighton; father and stepmother, Matthew and Cindi Trager of Chillicothe; siblings, Aaron Trager of Hamilton, Angel Dennis and husband Josh of Chillicothe, Audrea Serven and husband Jeff of Prairie Village, KS, Amber Trager of Kansas City, and Randy Hapes of Chillicothe; grandparents, Donald and Lois Prewitt of Brighton, Ruth Trager of Chillicothe and Lucille Bowyer of Meadville; uncles, Steve Prewitt and wife Gail of Buffalo and Nelson Prewitt and wife Tina of Brighton; numerous other loving relatives and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 11, 2012 in Robberson Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Monday, September 10, 2012 in the home of Nelson Prewitt. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
