It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nedra Blue Chasar, who peacefully left this world on September 29, 2024. Born on January 27, 1970, in Des Moines, Iowa to Michael and Joyce (Jobe) Chasar. She was a lover of nature, the great outdoors, and appreciated travel to beautiful locations. Nedra was a prolific gardener and cultivated many lovely plants and flowers. Nedra touched the lives of many with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love. She was involved with volunteer work with the Victory Mission, The Well Church, and other special organizations. Nedra loved going to the Springfield Farmer’s Market and was a member of the Doling Park Neighborhood Association.
Nedra is preceded in death by her father: Michael Joel Chasar and by her soon-to-be husband: William Stroud, Jr. She is survived by her beloved son, Matthew Drake Wescott, her mother, Joyce Dianne Chasar, her two sisters: Jessie Alia Sims and her husband, Matthew, and Dejah Dianne Chasar and her husband, Jay Lancaster. Her three brothers: Jed Zachery M. Chasar, Jon-Xodar M. Chasar, and his wife Tanya, and Tars-Danial M. Chasar. Her many nieces and nephews; Tori, Mason, Xavier, Jaidyn, Sophie, Dylan, and Ava.
Nedra’s life will be celebrated during a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Well Church in Springfield, MO. All who knew Nedra are invited to join together to honor her memory, share stories, and find solace in each other’s company.
In this time of mourning, let us hold on to the cherished moments we shared with Nedra and find comfort in the love she shared so generously. May her spirit live on in our hearts forever. A kind and giving soul like Nedra’s will never be forgotten. The family suggests memorial donations to the Victory Mission of Springfield, MO.
