It is with heavy hearts that we gather to commemorate the extraordinary life of Nicholas John Miles, a cherished son, brother, father, and friend. Born on October 14, 1978, in the welcoming embrace of Springfield, Missouri, Nick’s vibrant spirit and infectious laughter always left an indelible mark wherever he went.
Known for his deep love of music, Nick found solace in collecting records, immersing himself in the melodies that spoke to his soul. His appreciation for nature blossomed through countless adventures, as he reveled in the serenity of kayaking, hiking, and navigating the great outdoors on his trusty bike. Nick’s exuberance knew no bounds as he embraced the thrill of swimming and four-wheeling, seeking the rush of adrenaline that accompanied these exhilarating activities.
Nick’s zest for life extended beyond physical pursuits. He possessed a natural talent for bowling, perfecting his technique with dedication and skill. His undeniable charisma and uproarious wit made him the life of any gathering, leaving friends and loved ones with countless treasured memories. Whether it was through entertaining others or engaging in playful games, Nick had a special gift for bringing people together and brightening their days.
As a loyal sports enthusiast, Nick’s heart bled red for the St. Louis Cardinals and ignited with fervor for the Kansas City Chiefs. He reveled in the camaraderie of cheering on his beloved teams, uniting with fellow fans in shared triumphs and defeats.
Nick leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him. He is survived by his beloved father Jeffery Miles, his adoring mother Dolores “Dolly” Miles, his devoted brother Aaron Miles and sister-in-law Sumer Miles, his cherished daughter Emily Miles, his beloved nieces Phelan Walker and Athena Walker, and his beloved grandfather Harold Tilford-Baker.
To honor Nicholas and bid him farewell, a visitation will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North on November 27, 2023, commencing at 12:00 pm. Following this, a Funeral Service will be held at the same venue, beginning at 1:00 pm. These gatherings will provide an opportunity for all whose lives were touched by Nick to join in celebrating his life, sharing stories, and finding solace in the embrace of one another.
Today, as we reflect on the cherished memories of Nicholas John Miles, let us remember him for the joy he brought into our lives, the laughter that echoed in his presence, and the deep love that will forever remain in our hearts.
