It is with DEEP SADNESS that I read our beloved Mrs. Boyce has passed! What a great lady!! My first year at Eugene Field was also her first year there in 1981 when she moved from Robberson. I had her for fourth grade and we had a bond as new to the class. Then we had a student teacher teaching about obtuse and acute angles. Mrs. Boyce was in the back of the class and leaned over and said, "Jeff is acute boy!" I nearly burst with pride! (there also were three other Jeffs in my grade, but that's a sidebar :) I also remember her rolling her red pen or pencil between her hands clicking all her rings in class. She got a big kick out of Amy from our class writing in a class paper about going on a shopping 'splurge'. When Mr. Boyce died the summer after sixth grade, we went to National Cemetery, a few years later we saw her at Ebenezer's, sometimes also out with Mrs. Morrison, and of all places sat next to her at the movie 'Indecent Proposal'....What a laugh that was! Later, she came in to the accounting firm I worked for regularly, and I got to catch up with her during my career. SHE IS WONDERFUL! Thank you for sharing her with so many students, she made a tremendous impact. The ripples of her life and influence will be eternal. -- Jeff Rowe

The hole she leaves behind with her passing and the impact she had on so many is beyond the scope of what most people will ever realize. RIP Mrs. Boyce! Your students will never forget you.
