In her younger years, Norma pursued a career as an administrative assistant at the FBI and Federal Bureau of Prisons, showcasing her dedication and professionalism in the government sector. Her commitment to her work was admirable, and she left an indelible mark on all those she encountered.
Norma's creativity knew no bounds, with her passion for crafting and sewing shining through in everything she did. She was a determined individual who always followed her heart, embracing life with joy and enthusiasm. Norma found solace in the company of her beloved kitties throughout her life.
Norma will be dearly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and compassion.
A celebratory memorial service in honor of Norma Jean Hyman will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home South on June 8, 2024, at 10:00 am. The ceremony will be a time to reminisce on the cherished memories shared with Norma and celebrate a life well-lived. Following the service, Norma's remains will be cremated per her wishes.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to an animal rescue of your choice in Norma's honor, symbolizing her enduring spirit of generosity and goodwill. Norma's memory will forever remain a beacon of light in the lives of those she touched, guiding them with love and warmth.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Martha Fangmeyer.
She is survived by her son Mike and daughter Janet, brothers Leroy (Linda) and Leonald, two grandchildren Chris (Marianne) and Katrina, and one great-grandchild, James, as well as a host of family and friends.
