It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Orville Glenn Melton, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who departed from this world on November 26, 2024, at the age of 81. Born in Ozark, Missouri, Orville was a cherished individual whose first love was always his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Orville proudly served his country as a Navy veteran, a testament to his strong character and dedication. Throughout his life, he found joy in simple pleasures-fishing, playing on his computer, and listening to music. His gentle spirit and warm laughter will be fondly remembered by those fortunate enough to have shared time with him.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hazel Melton; daughter: Denita Burkholder and his siblings: Louise Jones, Richard Melton, Harold Melton, and Dorthy Braden.

Orville leaves behind a loving family, including his children: Kathy Turner, John and Kellie Pippen, Michael Melton, , and Misty Melton. He was a proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren, a doting great-grandfather to 18 great-grandchildren, and even a great-great-grandfather to one precious little one.

In honoring Orville’s life and legacy, a visitation will be held at the Greenlawn Funeral Home North on December 6, 2024, from 11:00 AM, leading into the funeral service at 12:00 PM. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens at 1:00 PM.
