Patricia Ann Bonham, 84, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on January 27, 2026, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born on January 20, 1942, in Springfield to Robert and Kathleen Hanson.
Patti met the love of her life, Dillard Bonham, while working at her parents’ restaurant, Bob’s Diner, in downtown Springfield. Following a brief six‑week courtship, they were married in a small ceremony in Arkansas in 1956. They built a beautiful life together on the same street where Patti grew up, raising two children, David and Lori. Patti and Dillard celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a renewal of vows in 2006 and remained devoted partners for 66 years until Dillard’s passing in 2022.
A loving and dedicated mother, Patti stayed home to raise her children until they were school‑aged. She later began working outside the home at Fabric Mart, ultimately becoming store manager. Driven and determined, Patti earned her GED later in life and went on to build a successful career in banking. She served as a teller at Centerre Bank before joining Commerce Bank, where she worked in the Bookkeeping Department, then the Loan Department, and eventually became a Loan Supervisor in Loan Operations. She retired from Commerce Bank in 2009.
Patti was a lifelong and devoted member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where her faith was a central part of her life. She faithfully volunteered on Sunday mornings to help manage offerings and spent many years encouraging children who rode the buses to church service. Patti cherished her church family, many of whom she had known her entire life, and lived as a humble servant of God.
Patti is survived by her son, David Bonham of Springfield, and daughter‑in‑law, Pam Warnecke of Springfield; granddaughter Angela Dickerson, her husband Kenny, and their children Alexandrea, Kenny, and Jade of Kimberling City; grandson Kevin Bonham and his children Austin and Jordan of Springfield; daughter Lori Fox, and her children Adelina Corralejo, Sisco Fox, and Stevie Fox, all of Morrisville. She is also survived by nine great‑great grandchildren; sister‑in‑law Keithleen Bonham of Springfield; her beloved dog, Max; and many extended family members and friends who loved her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dillard; her parents, Robert and Kathleen Hanson; and her son‑in‑law, Steve Fox.
Patti will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, her faith, and her community. Her legacy lives in the many lives she has touched.
Her services have been entrusted with Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
