Patricia A. “Pat” White, 77, of Springfield, Missouri passed away Friday March 17, 2017 at Mercy Villa.
Pat was born September 30, 1939 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to the late Dewan C. Massey and Beulah (McLeod) Evans. She worked for City Utilities for many years. Pat was a member of Church of God.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents: Dewan C. Massey and Beulah L Evans and a daughter: Robin Washburn. Surviving are her children, Cynthia Greene and her husband Mikel Greene and Ricky St.Pierre and fiance Tammy Gardner both of Springfield, Missouri. Also surviving Pat is four grandchildren, Cory Purintun, Christy Gentile, Quinton Washburn and Trysta Washburn six great great-grandchildren, Caleb, Tanner, Grayson, Andrew, Peyton and Amelia, her brother Joey Massey and his wife Linda and sister Janet Crabbe and her husband Jon.
Pat was adored by her family and friends, and she delighted in their company. She was a passionate woman whose smile and charming personality would brighten anyone’s day. She loved a good long conversation, always listening intently and responding with honesty and wit.
Growing up she loved to go dancing and played on the high school basketball team. Later, she loved snowmobiling with her children, talking on CB radios and joined bowling and golf leagues. One of her most unforgettable moments was the time she met Elvis Presley in Arkansas. This was every woman’s dream come true and she was living it!
In her lifetime she was passionate about many things, among them: spending quality time with her loved ones, taking care of her beloved granddaughter Trysta – a pure joy and light in her life, dedicating time to her church, loving her furry companion Boaz and interacting with friends on the computer. She loved playing Farmville and was known to have the best farm around.
She had a keen eye for fashion and adorned her outfits with purses & hats from her lavish collection. Her favorite outfits were stately black and red ensembles, always bold, classy and beautiful just like the woman who wore them. You could feel her presence when she was nearby.
Pat enjoyed traveling to exotic lands and soaking up all they had to offer. A few of her most memorable trips were to Greece, Israel and Fiji. She described Fiji as absolutely extraordinary because the stars were so close, you could almost touch them. She even had the luxury of swimming in the dead sea, an experience of a lifetime. She lived a wonderful life and all of those touched by her love and friendship will always remember her as the spirited and adventurous woman she was, and will always be.
“You left us with beautiful memories, your love as our guide and though we cannot see you, we feel you by our side.” ~ Narin Gewal
